In particular, the option of filter cleaning with air purging, when the filter is stopped for less than an hour, is essential for safe operation. The increase in performance compared to classic gravel filters by a factor of approx. 30!!!, while at the same time lower power consumption by a factor of 5 - 10 speaks for itself. Lower space requirements and an integrated plant zone round off this concept.

Interpretation: For every 10 m³ of water (= maximum 1 bather per day), 2 m³ of DoloSafe-ML 16/22 or WM ZeoStone are required. Minimum length of filter tunnel 10.60 m. Filter flow 10 m³/h per m² filter area.

The ingenious functional principle

The BioWaterPool highFLOW system is the first professional filter system for horizontal flow filters, which combines perfect distribution with an air flushing function. In this way, a very high effective speed for a gravel filter is achieved with minimal energy consumption. The effective speed is the speed at which the water moves over the coated surfaces of the gravel; this is directly proportional to the speed of biofilm build-up and the cleaning performance.

In contrast to conventional, usually complicated layered filters, only one particle size fraction is used in the highFLOW filter, which results in the high operational reliability typical of the highFLOW filter.
